Why Disney’s saratoga’s treehouse villas are the perfect for a family reunion

Easter at Walt Disney World. Three generations of our family — my parents, my brother, my husband and I, and our three girls — all together under one roof. Eight people, one extraordinary treehouse, and memories that will last a lifetime. This is our honest review of the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort.

If you’re planning a multi-generational family reunion, a friends group trip, or any gathering where you need space, privacy and the magic of Disney — the Treehouse Villas at Saratoga Springs might just be the most perfect accommodation you’ve never heard of.

What Are the Treehouse Villas at Saratoga Springs?
Tucked away in a secluded wooded area of Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort, the Treehouse Villas are unlike anything else at Walt Disney World. These elevated, octagonal cabins sit among the trees on stilts, each one nestled in its own private setting surrounded by nature.

Each Treehouse Villa sleeps up to 9 guests across three bedrooms — a master bedroom, a second bedroom, and a third sleeping area with bunk beds that the kids absolutely love. Add a full kitchen, two bathrooms, a large living and dining area, a private wraparound deck, and in-room laundry, and you have everything a large group needs for a truly comfortable stay.

For our group of 8 — my parents, my brother, my husband and I, and our three girls — it was absolutely perfect. Everyone had their own space, we could all gather together in the living area, and the wraparound deck became our favourite spot for morning coffee and evening chats.

How We Booked It Using DVC Points
We booked through David’s Vacation Club Rentals — our trusted DVC rental broker. The Treehouse Villas are a DVC property, which means they can be booked using rented DVC points just like any other Disney Vacation Club resort.

The process was straightforward as always:

Searched David’s website for Treehouse Villa availability at Easter
Selected the 3-bedroom Treehouse Villa for our group of 8
Paid securely through David’s platform
Reservation appeared in My Disney Experience within 24 hours
Checked in like any regular Disney resort guest — the magic started the moment we arrived
One important tip — the Treehouse Villas are extremely popular and availability goes fast, especially during school holidays like Easter. I’d strongly recommend booking as early as possible, ideally 6–11 months in advance.

The Treehouse Experience — What It’s Really Like
I want to be honest — I wasn’t sure what to expect. “Treehouse” sounds rustic, but these villas are anything but. They are beautifully designed, fully equipped, and genuinely luxurious — just with the incredible added bonus of being elevated among the trees.

Walking up to your own private treehouse, through a wooded path, away from the noise and crowds — it feels completely different from any other Disney resort experience. The girls were beside themselves with excitement. My parents couldn’t believe the space and comfort. And for the adults, having a private deck where we could sit together after the kids went to bed, surrounded by trees and Disney magic, was simply unforgettable.

Highlights of the villa itself:

The wraparound deck — our absolute favourite feature. Morning coffee, evening drinks, kids playing outside — we lived on that deck.
The bunk beds — the girls thought they were staying in a real treehouse and the bunk beds sealed the deal. Pure joy
The full kitchen — with 8 people, having a full kitchen was essential. We did Instacart delivery before we arrived and had breakfast sorted every morning.
The privacy — each treehouse is set apart from the others, surrounded by trees. It genuinely feels like your own private retreat.
The space — three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a huge living area, no one felt cramped.
Easter at Walt Disney World — A Magical Time to Visit!
We chose Easter for our family reunion and it was a wonderful time to be at Walt Disney World. Here’s what we loved:

EPCOT’s Flower & Garden Festival is in full swing — stunning topiaries, incredible outdoor food booths, and a beautiful atmosphere that all ages enjoy
Special Easter events throughout the parks — character meet and greets, themed treats and decorations
Gorgeous weather — warm and sunny without the intense summer heat.
Multi-generational friendly — Walt Disney World at Easter has something for every age, from toddlers to grandparents
For a multi-generational group like ours, EPCOT’s Flower & Garden Festival was particularly wonderful — the grandparents loved the garden displays and food booths just as much as the girls loved the topiaries shaped like Disney characters.

Why the Treehouse Villas Are Perfect for Groups:
If you’re organising a trip for a large group — whether a family reunion, a friends getaway, or a multi-generational holiday — here’s why the Treehouse Villas make so much sense:

Sleeps up to 9 comfortably — no splitting your group across multiple hotel rooms or separate villas.
Full kitchen and laundry — essential for longer stays with a large group.
Private outdoor space — the wraparound deck gives everyone room to breathe and gather together
Cost effective for groups — when split between 9 people, the per-person cost using DVC points is remarkably reasonable
Unique experience — staying in a treehouse at Disney is something your group will talk about for years
Access to all Saratoga Springs amenities — pools, restaurants, fitness centre, and Disney Springs right next door
The Savings — Let’s Talk Numbers
Here’s the part that always makes me smile.

A 3-bedroom Treehouse Villa at Saratoga Springs booked directly through Disney at Easter can easily run $1,200–$1,500 per night. For a 5-night stay that’s $6,000–$7,500.

Through David’s Vacation Club Rentals using DVC points, we paid significantly less — and when you split that cost across 9 people or multiple families, the per-person saving is extraordinary.

That’s the beauty of renting DVC points for large groups — the more people sharing the villa, the better value it becomes. Compared to booking separate hotel rooms for 9 people, the Treehouse Villa using DVC points is almost certainly the more affordable option — and infinitely more magical.

My Honest Verdict
The Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort are genuinely one of the most special places I’ve ever stayed. The combination of privacy, space, nature and Disney magic creates an experience that feels completely unlike anything else at Walt Disney World.

For our three-generation family reunion, it was absolutely perfect. The grandparents had a comfortable, quiet retreat. The kids had the adventure of staying in a treehouse. The adults had a private deck and the space to actually relax. And all of us had the magic of Disney right on our doorstep.

If you’re planning a group trip to Walt Disney World, I cannot recommend the Treehouse Villas highly enough. Book early, rent your points through a trusted broker, and prepare for something truly unforgettable.
